Psalms 66

Praise for God’s Mighty Deeds and for His Answer to Prayer.

For the music director. A Song. A Psalm.

1 aShout joyfully to God, all the earth;
2 Sing the bglory of His name;
Make His cpraise glorious.
3 Say to God, “How dawesome are Your works!
Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will epretend to obey You.
4fAll the earth will worship You,
And will gsing praises to You;
They will sing praises to Your name.” Selah

5 hCome and see the works of God,
Who is iawesome in His deeds toward the sons of mankind.
6 He jturned the sea into dry land;
They passed through kthe river on foot;
Let’s lrejoice there, in Him!
7 He mrules by His might forever;
His neyes keep watch on the nations;
The rebellious shall not oexalt themselves! Selah

8 Bless our God, you peoples,
And
Lit cause to hear the sound of His praise
,
qsound His praise abroad,
9 Who
Lit puts our soul in life
,
skeeps us in life,
And tdoes not allow our feet to
Or dodder, stumble
slip.
10 For You have vput us to the test, God;
You have wrefined us as silver is refined.
11 You xbrought us into the net;
You laid an oppressive burden upon
Lit our loins
us.
12 You made men zride over our heads;
We went through aafire and through water.
Yet You abbrought us out into a place of abundance.
13 I shall accome into Your house with burnt offerings;
I shall adpay You my vows,
14 Which my lips uttered
And my mouth spoke when I was aein distress.
15 I shall afoffer to You burnt offerings of fat animals,
With the smoke of agrams;
I shall make an offering of
Or cattle
bulls with male goats. Selah

16 aiCome and hear, all who
Or revere
fear God,
And I will aktell of what He has done for my soul.
17 I cried to Him with my mouth,
And
Or praise was under my tongue
He was amexalted with my tongue.
18 If I
Or had regarded
,
aoregard wickedness in my heart,
The apLord will not hear;
19 But aqGod has heard;
He has given attention to the sound of my prayer.
20 arBlessed be God,
Who ashas not turned away my prayer
Nor His favor from me.
